Thank you Fire Chief Blackwell!

The Town would like we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our retiring Fire Chief, Cliff Blackwell. Chief Blackwell is retiring after 23 years of dedicated service, including the past 14 years as the Fire Chief for the Magrath and District Emergency Services.

Chief Blackwell’s leadership, commitment, and countless hours of service have left a lasting impact on our community. We wish him every success as he and his wife now focus on serving a mission with their church. We thank him for the legacy he leaves behind from our entire community and we look forward to their return.

At the same time, we are pleased to announce that Deputy Chief, Scott Neilson, has been selected as the new Fire Chief. With his experience and dedication, we are confident Chief Neilson will continue to guide the department with the same strength and commitment to protecting our community.
